Frequently Asked Questions
Does the office accept health insurance?
No. Zephyr Sport and Spine is a cash-based and out-of-network practice so that care can be based on your condition, goals, and clinical needs rather than insurance limitations.
Our model allows for longer one-on-one visits, individualized treatment, movement-based rehab, and a more complete approach to pain relief, recovery, and injury prevention.
For many patients, this means fewer visits, more time with the doctor, and a clearer plan of care.
*Please contact the office regarding Medicare recipients.
Does the office accept HSA/FSA payments or provide superbills?
Yes we do! We can provide you with a Superbill after your visit that you would send directly over to your insurance. Review your Explanation of Benefits for specific details on out-of-network reimbursement.
How often do I need to be seen for chiropractic care?
Most patients during an acute care phase are seen weekly or once every 2-3 weeks, depending on their diagnosis, their goals and the severity of their condition. Patients who come in for prehab/preventative care or general maintenance typically come in once a month as needed. We can discuss a treatment schedule that works best for you at your initial visit!
Can you order imaging?
Yes. When clinically indicated, a licensed Missouri chiropractor may order diagnostic imaging, including X-ray and MRI. Imaging is not needed for every condition, but it may be recommended when exam findings, symptoms, trauma history, or lack of progress suggest that additional information is necessary.
